Dr. Pennesi is the Director of Ophthalmic Genetics at the Retina Foundation, where he focuses on expanding the organization’s work to bring cutting-edge treatments from the laboratory to the clinic. He is a board-certified ophthalmologist who has served as the lead investigator for numerous first-in-human clinical trials for inherited retinal diseases. Dr. Pennesi’s current research interests involve developing novel treatments for inherited retinal diseases.
